House Building 101

| My internet friend from Texas, Sitkadog, asked me how in the world I could just go ahead and build a house. Well, it was not so difficult. First of all you have to find a spot that you really like. Your partner has to agree. |
| The next step is to walk around, figure out where the house will be, and where the sun will be. Cut down the trees, bulldoze a narrow 300 foot entrance road. Get some friends to help you stand up 3 telephone poles, have electricity installed and you are ready to rock and roll. |
| Dig the trench for the footing of the basement. Build forms for the cement adding gravel and steel rebars. |
| Bring in cement and cut a few more trees because the truck is so big. Get family to help with the cement. This is heavy stuff. Smooth off the top and bring in your portable workshop. |
